IB Students: 65% (20% DP) (45% MYP)

Richard Montgomery High School is a demographically diverse comprehensive public high school. The school is home to the MCPS IB Magnet, which culminates with the two year IB Diploma Programme. Students wishing to apply for the Magnet do so in the fall of their eighth grade year, and complete the full Diploma Programme in the 11th and 12th grade years.

The school also offers the Middle Years Programme to 9th and 10th graders. The Middle Years Programme is open to all students living in the Richard Montgomery attendance area and is offered in partnership with Julius West Middle School. Beginning in December of the tenth-grade year, MYP students have the opportunity to apply for entry into the Diploma Programme, thereby allowing students to complete the full IB continuum of educational programs..
